Hammers remain top four

|

West Ham remains in fourth place in the Premier League table this morning after results went their way last night.

Chelsea and Wolves remained goalless leaving both clubs to have to do with a point apiece.

Everton could have gone above us last night but Leciester City drew level to make it 1-1 in the second half.

The Hammers only have a few hours remaining of being a top-four club today as Liverpool faces Spurs tonight.

Fifth-placed Liverpool only needs a point to go above us on goal difference on 35 points while a Spurs win would put the sixth place side on 36 points and push West Ham down to the fifth place.

West Ham plays Liverpool this Sunday on the last day of the month as the manager looks to make seven wins out of seven games.

A remarkable win at the London Stadium could restore the Hammers to a top-four Premier League place again.

Dare to dream!  Time to believe!

I really think we can take Liverpool on Sunday given our current form. We were unlucky against them last time and have improved immensely. Let’s hope Salah doesn’t get away with any Tom Daley impressions again.

Just getting away from the awesomeness of our current WHU set-up from tea lady to Manager – I do have one thing I’ve wanted to say for a while now. It isn’t about WHU as such but about the live commentating in general. Does anyone else get irritated by the female commentators that seem to be mode du jour these days. Whilst it’s obvious that every institution across the country is trying to look like they’re inclusive…it also brings about a loss of interest and lots of live games being watched with the volume down. No doubt some will think my comments semi controversial, with so many people pandering to the current day PC atmosphere. I’d rather not hear some excited woman blabbing nonsence in to the mike just to be heard. Bring bacm male punditry please – or at the very least, make sure the lead commentator is male. Hearing the shieking, non-sensical ramblings of some of these so called professionals has become a bore – on to the more important thing I want to add is that I truly hope Ricey signed extension this summer…however if he did want to move then we must get at least 100 mil / 80 mill with at least two players included. If we do continue this amazing form however, I would say that no one will want to leave as there really is no reason why we can’t be the next Leicester – COYI and hail Moysey and his back room staff for bringing out the best in the majority of our squad! It seems to me that commentators, both men and women, have given up actually commentating. I like to hear whose got the ball and in what part of the pitch they rather than other ‘stuff’ I already know.

I live in Australia, my folks are back in the UK suffering like the rest of you poor buggers in another lockdown.
I’m chatting with them twice sometimes three times a week.
The best part is talking West Ham, messages after every game, pride at how the team is improving, winning well and being dignified in how they react come win lose or draw.
Loving this season, a bright light in a horrible 13 months. Keep going boys, play without fear!!
