Nigel Kahn takes you through the archived footage from The Hammers League Cup run in 1981 which saw West Ham reach the final.

John Lyall tested his FA Cup holders against Bob Paisleys Liverpool FC at Wembley and then a replay at Villa Park. Much of West Ham’s run was filmed for television so you’ll not miss the goals, skills and match action. In 1981 Liverpool were league champions and would go on to beat Real Madrid in the European Cup Final. Listen out for that nostalgic ‘The Big Match Theme Tune’ as Retro Hammers take you back to see a very good West Ham United team.
