Yesterday, Head Coach Julen Lopetegui and his team greeted the West Ham United players at Rush Green Training Ground to kick off the pre-season. This event marks a fresh chapter for West Ham, with workaholic Lopetegui at the helm, ready for action. Returning players included summer acquisitions Luis Guilherme and Wes Foderingham, as well as Flynn Downes and Danny Ings.

Maxwel Cornet was reported as being one of the first to arrive for training which is great news for a player clearly sniffing a second chance.

The excitement around the club is palpable, further fuelled earlier this week by a joint press conference featuring Lopetegui and Tim Steidten, the director of football.

For most players, except a few from the academy, it was their initial encounter with Lopetegui and his staff, including Assistant Head Coach Pablo Sanz, Head of Performance Γ“scar Caro, Head Analyst Juan Vicente Peinado, Fitness Coach Borja De Alba, and Technical Coach Edu Rubio.

The new Spanish head coach had already met with Brazilian prodigy Luis Guilherme, part of the club’s persuasive schmoozing efforts that secured the transfer of this highly sought-after talent.

Hammers Chat my first game was West Ham 10-0 Bury . . . seriously!
We than went and bought Bury's central defender πŸ˜¬βš’οΈ Irons

Started Hammers Chat alongside my partner in crime Geo back in 2014 and brough in to Claret & Hugh by my old mate Hughie to produce videos a couple of years later.

Give West Ham opinions on Sky Sports News and even did a bit of moonlighting on BBC Football Focus.

Sometimes feature on BBC Radio 5 Live and once ate a biscuit in Tony Gales shed.

Connoisseur of salted caramel doughnuts and I love a Sloppy Giuseppe pizza although I'm slightly suspicious where the name came from.

When I'm not moaning about West Ham I can be found walking a dog that looks like a sheep and tinkering with pinball machines.

More West Ham moaning is done on a daily basis here πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡

Tim in charge of transfers and a manager that believes in giving youth a chance. Excited by this combination and more modern approach. Moyes was a dinosaur and his style of play similar to Big Fat Sam.

I feel much happier with Tim looking after recruitment. Confident deals will get done after the Euros and Copa America finishes. These things take time, so despite all the made up stories regarding transfers I’m excited for the start of the season!
