Hammers scout Euro clash

|

West Ham dispatched scouts to watch FC Midtjylland play Feyenoord in the Europa League last night, according to a new report.

A report from 1908.NL spells out that nine clubs sent scouts to watch the game, including the Irons.

Borussia Dortmund, Nice, and Sassuolo, of Germany, France, and Italy respectively, also sent a delegation to watch the clash, but it isn’t quite clear who was being watched.

Sport Witness speculate that the player could well be Orkun Kokcu, who scored for Feyenoord last night and plays primarily as a midfielder.

On Midtjylland’s side, there is also some real buzz around Gustav Isaksen. He is a 21-year-old right winger who has scored six goals in 18 games this season and he has already been linked with a potential move to Manchester City.

It remains to be seen if any more comes of this but if the Hammers are linked with players from either club ahead of January, we may know where the story originates from.
