Hammers scouting young Bundesliga ace – report

West Ham are scouting Salih Ozcan, according to a new report from SportBILD.

The midfielder plays for Koln in the Bundesliga and has emerged as a star in Germany.

He is 24, and plays primarily as a central midfielder, although he is also capable of playing in defensive midfield.

Ozcan has been with Koln since 2016 and has made a total of 125 appearances for the club, becoming a key man in recent months.

This season, the Turkey international has made 31 appearances in all competitions, and there is plenty of interest.

While the Bundesliga club would like him to stay and sign a new contract, there is said to be interest from the Hammers, along with Fenerbahce, Besiktas, and Galatasaray.

The Irons are said to have been scouting the player for months and it remains to be seen if a bid is tabled this summer.

Koln are currently sixth in the Bundesliga, which would mean qualification for the Europa Conference League, and if they finish there, he could commit his future to the club.
