West Ham’s “mystery” second signing looks likely to be Croatian midfielder CSKA midfielder Nikol Vlasic.
ClaretandHugh reported earlier that the Irons are set to sign a second player following the arrival of central defender Kurt Zouma.
We learned that the player is set for a medical tomorrow (Mon) and that should that prove successful he will join the club for £26 million plus a £7 million add on.
Whilst this is not written in tablets of stone Vlasic is a player we have been linked with over recent weeks and fits the role which Jesse Lingard filled so successfully on loan last term.
An insider refused to name the player but told us: “He is a Jesse Lingard type plyer.”
David Moyes has all but ruled out a striker being determined, it seems, to follow the same sort of formation which saw Lingard resurrect a fading career.
However, this morning’s news means that the attacking midfielder will take on the role which proved essential in the system developed by Moyes last season.
Hi Hugh , that seems like a lot of money , not that I’m complaining. I don’t know much about Vlacic , will he improve us & is he worth the money . ? . If so great stuff . Ps the old mullet is looking good son 👍😂⚒
Good player and young. Moyes ain’t interested in strikers clearly – he goes another way!
I’ll believe the sighnings when I see them ….. so far nothing confirmed whilst Spurs take top spot .
He was man of the match for Croatia against Scotland in the euros. Moyes would definitely have been watching.
Honestly dont see why we need an attacking midfielder. Benrahma and Fornals are perfectly capable of fighting for that position. Get in a natural left sided winger. Not Lingard.
Can’t have enough good players
I do not know anything about this lad but he sounds like an exciting signing and in Moyes we trust. Greta to hear we are looking for top young players. Hlozek next would be the icing on the cake.
