Hammers set for contract talks with in-demand ace

West Ham are set to open contract talks with Jarrod Bowen as they bid to ward off interest from Liverpool in his signature.

That’s according to a new report from The London Evening Standard, who claim that the Irons are determined to ensure that Bowen does not make a move to Anfield in the summer amid admiring glances from Jurgen Klopp’s side.

The 25-year-old has been superb this season and only Mohamed Salah has scored more goals and laid on more assists.

Bowen has been so good that he is said to be in line for an England call-up and West Ham want to both reward his form and ensure that he does not move on.

The ex-Hull man’s current contract still has three-and-a-half years left to run but the Hammers will be well aware of the need to send a message by securing his long-term future, and potentially handing him a pay rise in the process.
