Hammers set to get double Boxing Day boost

West Ham are hopeful that both Lukasz Fabianski and Manu Lanzini will be available for the Boxing Day clash at Crystal Palace.

Fabianski has been considered likely to return for the Selhurst Park clash but we were told this morning that Lanzini is only marginally behind him and has a fifty chance of being involved in the squad.

Both have been involved in training along with Winston Reid who has also had no problems with his recovery programme.

Lanzini is recovering well after dislocating his shoulder and it would be a huge boost were he to be ready to take his place presumably on the bench.

The Hammers will travel to Palace determined to avoid the first ‘double’ defeat of the season although the south Londoners have precarious form on their own ground having just three wins to their name against Villa, Norwich and Bournemouth.

They have been beaten by Manchester City, Liverpool and Leicester and gained a point apiece against Wolves and Brighton.

Meanwhile, the Hammers have earned 12 of their 19 points on the road with wins over Watford, Chelsea and Southampton and draws against Brighton, Villa and Bournemouth.

  1. The way he’s playing Fornals is giving more than Manu normally does.

    • agree with first poster, Fornals starter for sure, hes just starting to show whats hes about. Its not easy adjusting to the prem at that age. look at moise keen at everton.

But haven said that, Lanzinn back on the bench is only a positive.

  2. could you imagine serne and toure across our midfield what a dream that would be

  3. I must agree with the first poster,Fornals is really starting to find his feet, well done David Martin he has let nobody down and let’s hope Fab returns
