West Ham looks to miss out on another target, with Wolves closing in on a deal for the Bristol City starlet and England Under 20 international Alex Scott.
Wolves have seen two bids turned down by the Robins – with the latest offer believed to be worth around £ 20 million and now believe of £25m will secure the player’s signature.
West Ham are interested in Alex Scott and has been tracking him for some time but they did not submit a bid per Six Foot Two – West Ham Magazine Site (6foot2.co.uk) .
It was the same situation with the former Coventry striker Viktor Gyokeres in whomWest Ham also had a strong interest.
Last week Sporting Lisbon signed the Hammers target for £ 20 million. Gyokeres scored 23 goals in 50 appearances last term to help Coventry to the Championship play-off final, where they lost to Luton on penalties.
Coventry did not officially disclose the transfer fee received for the 25-year-old – but a percentage of the fee will be due to his former club, Brighton.
