Hammers set for permanent Song deal

SongsWest Ham are preparing to make Alex Song next season’s big marquee signing!

The club believes  that with three top strikers in place the club can strengthen in a big way by spending their cash on the Barcelona midfielder as the big permanent signing.

A source told ClaretandHugh exclusively: “It’s dangerous to look too far ahead but the fact is that it’s  the strikers who cost top money.

“Having three in place  and hopefully  no need to go looking next summer for more next year means our thoughts can turn to other areas.

“Alex Song is a player to be  seriously looked at as a permanent signing. Barca would probably want around £10 million and with the squad now so settled that’s more than a possibility for us.”

The club are aware that Song’s wife loves life in London and are delighted at the way the player has slotted in at the Boleyn where he is very content.”

And with so much great business having been done on the squad at large last season they are already looking hard at the Song option as their big bit of summer 2015 business.

We were told: “We hear about Galatasaray and Liverpool being interested but this club in the driving seat and can be expected to go hell  for leather against all comers.”
