West Ham are very hopeful that a third key player will return to the team on Wednesday evening when Burnley are the visitors.
Cheik Kouyate will have a late fitness test on his groin injury but the backroom staff are confident the defender/midfielder will be ready to take his place in the team.
And that would mean that Havard Nortveidt is almost certain to drop to the bench after his outing as an emergency right back in the Liverpool draw.
And it will be no surprise if Andy Carroll takes his place at the head by of the attack after being reintroduced into the action slowly and carefully by manager Slaven Bilic.
A Hammers source told CandH this evening that Kouyate was looking in decent nick but that no final decision would be made until the player has passed a late fitness test.
Wow thanks guys glad to feel the love 🙂
Billic is too weak of a manager to drop Noble no matter how bad he plays. It would be a miracle if he did. I’m sure Billic never watches replay of matches and if he did and cannot see how poor he is is beyond many fans. Noble’s best game this season was Sunday.
Full house – Noble to drop down and Kouyate to add some much needed pace and drive to the midfield!
Absolutely spot on . Kouyate for Noble ( in fact anyone for Noble ) is probably our best available team at the moment. Still think we are desperate for a right back and proven striker in January . We have the midfield players to make the chances and cover the back 4 as long as Capt Terrible is NOWHERE to be seen .
Bubbles read that we are in for Sassuolo striker Gregoire Defrel in January.
Couldnt agree more with you 32. Exactly the team l would put out for exactly the same reasons
If they don’t play with two big lumps up top stick with a flat back four put Cheik back in midfield and drop Noble please Slav, give Nordveidt another run to build some confidence and use Fletcher up top, if the wingers help their defenders like Payet did we don’t need to waste another body in defence, Put Antonio wide right with Fletcher number 9 and Lanzini number 10. Randolph, Cresswell, Ogbonna, Reid, Nordveidt, Antonio, Kouyate, Obiang, Payet, Lanzini and Fletcher. Press, press, press, with some quick passing and movement please. If you have to play Noble see what he is like as a right back because he is useless in central midfield.
I always agree with 32.lol
