Julen Lopetegui has headed home to Spain for a break away from football – who can blame him. Yesterday we picked up reports that one of the ‘possibles’ to replace him had also been approached by AS Roma, who fired their manager at the weekend.

Yesterday evening news came from bild.de that possible shortlisted-candidate Edin Terzic ( he of assistant to Slaven Bilic fame) would not be listening to any proposals from Roma as he ‘was in England this week preparing to give a talk’.

Without wishing to jump to the obvious conclusion that’ being in England tis week might be no co-incidence’, it is clear from Steidten’s favoured Sky Reporter Florian Plettenberg that Edin Terzic would be interested in the West Ham role if it were offered to him.

Terzic fits several of the known criteria, being out of work and available now and a coach who knows West Ham and the ownership ‘foibles’ having worked at Upton Park and Rush Green before. Maybe , just maybe there are plans afoot in case Lopetegui’s results keep flatlining, We can but hope.

From the old Bobby Moore Upper to the Billy Bonds' stand these days I've been watching since '03 and a supporter since about 1970.. 'Football is Life' oh yes. Let it raise your spirit but never darken your mood. Life's too short not to enjoy the journey with our Claret and Blue heroes n' villains.

Forget the rest – Frank Lampard is the man.

Further rubbish posted from uninformed people making ridiculous suggestions on what the ‘believe’ is going on.

Loppy is going nowhere for some time and rightly so. New squad, new manager, everything takes time there are NO quick fixes in football. Dysche hardly pulling up trees is he …

Terzic was hardly a success at Dortmund where it was rumored he lost the dressing room …

This site should stop posting made up crap, its unhelpful and does not improve anything at the club.

Dyche is at Everton so who cares what is going on outside of our club!

JLo hasn’t improved anything on the pitch and is highly unlikely to turn things around judging by the woeful performances.

Staying loyal to contracts is pure madness when it’s obviously going epically wrong.

Look where we ended up honouring Avram Grant’s contract.

Surely if the results are going badly you would stay in England and work on the problems with players that are available not pop off to Spain to recoup baffling????

  • David Pope says:

Your headline, In England For ‘Talks’ is misleading and very different to “in England this week preparing to give a talk”.
You really don’t need to do this kind of thing to get people to read an article.

Will he wait until Christmas? The manager will not be sacked before then (and quite rightly). People on here just want to chew everyone up and spit them out. Talk about lions and Christians. It’s not a game (well, perhaps in one way).

    • Matt says:

People on here are fans that want the best for the club and quite rightly voice their frustration at what we see on the pitch.

The good old days prior to Sky TV when loyalty was valued (John Lyall) and football was affordable are long gone. I miss them days massively, along with my time on the South Bank and the Chicken Run.

Football, especially the Premiership is all about Commercial revenue as it is a massive business. Players and managers earn big money so that crowds and fans on TV can be entertained.

The cost of failure now has never been so important due to PSR. Clubs can’t afford to remain loyal to managers that are not getting results on the pitch.

I think we could be back to square one. Not someone that many would be clamouring for as by all accounts plays dull football! So we try to give the benefit of the doubt till it all goes Pete tong!

Vincenzo Montella looks the bookies favourite for Roma. Ex Roma player, respected coach and the Friedkin Group will happily pay his release clause.

Impressing Sully at interview for the West Ham job must be a walk in the park.

Just ask JLo, although we can’t understand a word he says 😂

  • Matt says:

He fits the free and available criteria 🤣

    • B says:

Terzic ticks two important boxes for West Ham, free/available AND previous West Ham connections.
That said, he’s not exactly got vast experience, 2 seasons as head coach/manager, I’m not sure what makes him a great candidate to take over West Ham?

      • RayTatum says:

Chang our manager before relegation looms up give Mark
Noble ,the interim position, give the clubs favourite son a chance ,he deserves it ,but if he declines the chance ,Give Terzic a chance ,he has got to be better than what we have now

      • Matt says:

Keep saying we need to pay the release clause and hire Sebastien Hoeness.

The available managers that are free and waiting for the phone to ring are not the way forward.

Like anything in life, quality costs money. As the saying goes buy cheap / pay twice as the product tends to not last as long and is inferior in quality!

Saw a blog about Allegri being in the frame, haven’t seen him mentioned on here but as I believe he is out of work & has a long list of success behind him. Worth a mention?

          • Matt says:

Just another big name, past his sell by date and plays same sort of style (lack of it) as JLo, Moyes, Allardyce & Benitez 🥱
