Hammers slip a place after defeat

|

West Ham slipped into seventh place after the 3-1 defeat at Anfield today and Villa beat struggling Chelsea.

The midlands outfit won their game via a 73rd minute goal from Watkins at Stamford Bridge to leave the south west London outfit in 14th place.

The win means that the midlanders have moved one place above the Hammers who remain on 10 points from their six games whilst Villa are now two points ahead of us.

Manchester United are a point behind us in eighth with palace and Fulham completing the top ten positions.

At the top, a 2-2 draw between the Spuds and Gooners left the teams in fourth and fifth position behind Man City at the top ahead of  Manchester City and Liverpool.

Next weekend sees the hammers involved in a seemingly more comfortable match when newly promoted Sheffield United arrive at the London Stadium for what appears to be a more winnable game!
