Hammers speak on Chelsea “target”

Claret and Hugh has learned this afternoon that reports linking Bertrand Traore with the club are some way wide of the mark.

We reported this morning that reports had emerged in the general media claiming that the club were looking seriously in the youngster direction.

He enjoyed a great season with Ajax on loan but the Hammers have revealed to us exclusively that the youngster is not the “out and out striker the club wants.

And although Slaven Bilic would sign a speedy winger as a replacement for either Robert Snodgrass or Sofiane Feghouli they are not interested sufficiently at the £17 million be quoted by Chelsea.

Speaking to CandH a few minutes ago a top club insider revealed: “We don’t see him as We think hes not a genuine No 9 and based JUST on Dutch form too expensive at that sort of price. “Should a revised price be offered we may look at it again.”

  1. So what is the truth… who are we actually after. There’s so much speculation and bulls**t flying about you don’t know what’s truth and what’s not.

  2. before the transfer window opened y/day we were linked with everyone & there mother as long as we take our time & don’t sign panic buys like last season we should be ok. long way til the season starts & hopefully 2 strikers in plz Mr G & S

  3. Fans want board (and associates) to leak less stuff yet constantly want to know who we’re trying to buy or scouting. Madness.

    • Yes mate, I am happy we are not hearing the leaks this window (so far) that way maybe we won’t have these clubs coming in at the last minute and nicking our targets, Slav said anyway before the end of the season all of our targets have about 10 clubs after them so most likely many will slip by the wayside but without the press releases first means less negative publicity imho.

    • I think it’s different when it comes from sources like Hugh or Ex compared to David gold and the Sullivan’s..
I don’t mind little leaks, I’ve never been one to be ****** off with it. I think the anticipation of signing a player just grinds my gears. I just feel like I have to know.

I agree though… it is madness… they can’t really win. Either way.. one fan will want the leak, another fan won’t.

  4. What happened with the statement to buy only British ??.
Watched Scotland v England ; Snodgrass was typically awful and England were predictable . It was a Premiership League game , so no surprises with the result .
Seems our summer window is wide open for all to see . Putting a few misty stained panes in the window wouldn’t hurt . But , no , let’s tell the whole world about our intentions and who we want !! .
There were some players out there today that I would love to see in a West Ham shirt .
No names ; because it would only serve to stir some people up .
It’s very early in the window to Start talking about who should be wearing the Crossed Hammers next season but , hey , some breaks should be put on the speculations .
Please Stop telling all and sundry about our thoughts of future signings .
