Hammers speak on “Diame for Everton”

|

DiameWest Ham have this afternoon insisted no offer or inquiry has been received from Everton for Mo Diame.

And a highly placed Boleyn source told ClaretandHugh exclusively: “I wonder whether this rumour will ever stop doing the rounds.

“It’s such an old story I am surprised anyone pays any attention to it. Clearly it’s a slow news day!”

The ‘story’ broke today on www.goal.com who claimed the midfielder  has agreed personal terms with the Blues and is ready to complete a £3.5million switch to Goodison Park “before the end of the month”.

Diame is believes to have the £3.5m escape clause in his contract and has been linked with a move to The Toffees on several occasions in the past when a move would have given the merseysiders more value from his services.

Our source said: “We have had no contact at all with Everton or anyone else. I suppose it could happen but we’d have expected it to do so before now if it was going to.
