Hammers star’s timing so sad!

|
West Ham’s new Irons podcast could hardly have got off to a more ironic first episode.
The Hammers included Jarrod Bowen, Divin Mubama and Pablo Fornals with the Spanish midfielder making the comments that will have caused a few sad eyebrows. For he spent quite some time declaring what a totally brilliant player Lucas Paqueta is and how he  – among others – can change a game in a couple of seconds.

Of course Paqueta will be seen as the best signing of last season who was responsible for setting up the pass for Bowen from which he scored the Conference winning trophy.

He had become better and better as the season wore on but after the podcase had been reported Fornals’ words  came back to haunt us with the news that he was now at the centre of interest from Manchester City.

That -to put it mildly – was more than a tad unfortunate.

Commenting on the podcast however, Fornals declared: : “We are lucky to have the players that we have, they can change the game in two seconds.

“Like, once you leave [Lucas] Paqueta time to think and runners, sorry I don’t want to say the word!“You’re killed as a defence because he’s such a great baller, and also Jarrod [Bowen] finishing is unreal.“It was our best passer with our best scorer.

“He’s what you always see in videos, always smiling, trying to dance but yeah he’s like that.

“He’s always reproducing great actions in training, the same as in the game.”

West Ham face Bournemouth on Saturday and Fornals will hope Paqueta is still at the club to face The Cherries.

Bournemouth have spent big in the transfer window this summer and brought in new manager Andoni Iraola.

Their business in the past two months has been in stark contrast to West Ham’s and Saturday’s result will be interesting to see.

After such an incredible end to last season in the Europa Conference League, the new campaign has got off to a very shaky start in terms of window signings and departures.

What a complete sad state, Our Club is now in, far too many Cowboys involved, and No True Sheriff to lead the club at the Top!

I would still like to know if Moyes, took it on himself, to offer Maguire, the Club Captaincy, just to get him to come to London? Captaincy of a Top Premiership club, is earned, not a present. Was it not reported when Maguire was first mentioned, he did Not Want to Join us! That’s an excellent player to have then, and be captain, what a Circus our club has now become.

No way, whoever we sign, with the only style of football Moyes knows, is that going to bring Premiership success. We need Top Owners! Now, more than ever.

    Why’s the timing sad?

It’s sad but it seems quite obvious that, while Moyes is in charge, skilful attacking players will not want to come to West Ham. Not only are they a defensive team but also a selling club. So this is the reality of West Ham “next level”.

I am confident he will be in the side. There has been no offer, there is no reason he will not in the side as things stand. He is a top guy too and a true professional. Pablo spoke the truth, Paqueta us irreplaceable atbthus moment. As is Pablo who is loved by all the west ham fans. Pablo and Paqueta in front of Alvarez would work a dream. Moyes needs to show ambition this weekend starting with dropping Soucek from the starting line up. But he wont and this is why he needs to be sacked
