West Ham remain locked in negotiations with Simone Zaza and his advisors this evening as the two sides try to edge towards a deal which will see the Italy international become a Hammer.
As is always the case in these circumstances the social networking systems – Twitter in particular – are alive with stories that the deal has broken down – NOT TRUE!
Both sides want to get the deal done and the personal terms on offer are far in advance of what the player is earning at Juventus.
However – as is usually the case – Zaza’s team are pressing for improvements but the Irons negotiators have already agreed a deal and will resist any late demands to improve it.
ClaretandHugh was told a few minutes ago by a well placed Hammers source: “These tactics are not unusual but there’s no way the club will cave in on the deal already agreed.
“These things crop up at the end of negotiations as a rule and are generally sorted. We will be sticking to out guns. It could go either way.”
