What with the possible imminent departure of Aaron Cresswell, David Moyes is seriously in need of a top-class left back.
The long time servant may or may not leave despite Wolves having had a change of heart at the money being asked by the Hammers but given his age and recent form we need a new arrival in that position as cover for the new number one Emerson. The only other option at the moment is Ben Johnson.
Sadly, however, it now appears that long term target Kieran Tierney is likely to prefer Newcastle than come to the London Stadium.
The Sky Sports reporter Keith Downie has said claimed:“He’s a player Newcastle have wanted for some time. There’s been contact between all parties throughout the summer and I think there’s a want from Tierney’s side to make the move here should Newcastle agree something with Arsenal.”:
That is a real shame as young we believe Tierney would have strengthened our ranks considerably.
It also shows the potential gulf now appearing between West Ham and the likes of Newcastle in terms of a club with ambition and different playing styles.
I thought Newcastle had made an offer for Lewis Hall?
