It is widely known that West Ham are desperate to bring in a ‘Michail Antonio 2.0″ to bolster the squad following Antonios car accident, Niclas Fullkrug’s hamstring injury (main pic) and stand-in striker Jarrod Bowen’s foot fracture. One of a handful of names linked with West Ham this window, Nottingham Forests’ frontman rumoured to be part of the Hammers’ January target shortlist has been addressing those very suggestions.

Taiwo Awoniyi has been talking about his lack of form and speculation of a move to London Stadium, in view of his frustration at having to play second fiddle to Chris Woods who has been in outstanding form for Forest this season. Speaking with sportsboom.com, the Nigerian front man suggested that he’s not focussed on anything other than his output in red and white:

“Transfers are part of football, and there will always be speculation. But my focus is entirely on Nottingham Forest…This is a team with a lot of potential, and I want to be here to help achieve something special. I’m not thinking about leaving; I’m thinking about how I can contribute more to the success of this club.”

And with Nottingham Forest sitting third in the Premier League behind Arsenal only on goal difference, who can blame him?

With a contract at the City Ground until June 2027 it appears the 27 year old front man is not expecting to be departing any time soon.

Much will be out of his hands through, if ‘Forest succeed with their own bid for Wolves’ Matheus Cunha or Brentford’s Yoanne Wise then the last few days in the run up to 4th February  could well see the transfer window burst into life with the sort of ‘transfer dominoes’ which can have far reaching consequences across the Premier League when one deal clicks into place and others suddenly fall.

From the old Bobby Moore Upper to the Billy Bonds' stand these days I've been watching since '03 and a supporter since about 1970.. Don't take my comments too seriously, imagine we are having a chat at half time over a pint at L S and "let's disagree without falling out".

Yep Callum Wilson is a cert, always injured now quite old and at the end of his career and most importantly a player on the books of Will Salthouse.

High hopes, many names discussed, but no results so far. In the end Potter may find himself in charge of the same group, and grateful for getting back any of the injured players.

What has February 4th got to do with anything?

Well he’s like Antonio that’s for sure, the bloke is constantly injured. But you want steidten gone so sulli can broker deals like this nonsensical one, what’s the number of crap strikers sulli has brought in to the club standing at? 52 I think, well it’s great that he, along with his trusted agents are now back in charge. If we sign anyone I’d lay a pound to a penny that it’s Callum Wilson
