Hammers target arrives in UK

|

images (19)West Ham United have admitted they are ready to offer  Brazilian winger Anderson Luiz de Carvalho, better known as Nene – a short term contract at the club.

David Sullivan has revealed previously that he is keen to bring in out of contract cover for Andy Carroll and Nene has now arrived in the country ready for talks with the club.

The 33-year-old is a free agent after cancelling his contract with Al Gharafa and has been talking to various clubs across Europe.

And a top Hammers insider revealed to ClaretandHugh: “Nene is now in the UK recovering from jetlag.

“It was reported that David Sullivan is attempting to appease the fans after the events of Saturday  but it has nothing to do with that at all – it is entirely to do with Andy Carroll’s injury. He is certainly a live possibility. We will see how talks go.”

Nene, scored 20 goals in 43 games during his time in Qatar but has spent much of his career in France and Spain, notably with Monaco and PSG where he had a good goal scoring record.

A good crosser of the ball and free-kick specialist, Nene could prove a useful addition in the absence of Andy Carroll who is out for the season.

    But he’s a winger?

  • mattefumi69 says:

I think he’s more a striker than a winger… He played for PSG, a good player, but he is 33… in my opinion could be good as temporary replacement but not an investment in the future. A little bit perplexed…

Guess as a short term solution it could be ok.Conkerpot will be ****ed though. He told that Rads dude he knows nothing about football but when first it was touted we were looking for another striker on a post here he said we would end up with a brazilian who had been playing in the middle east.More ammunition for Bubs to fire at this conkerpot man,lol

There is a good video on youtube of a dust up he had playing for Al Gharafa maybe he will be the new Repka !! Haven’t seen him play but on youtube looks like a decent left sided left footed striker.

TysonM I have given up on conkerpot I believe he could be a alias for Mrs Allardyce
See Conkerpot did not say Mrs BFS ( ops sorry conkerpot )
But back to the real world,I would rather for 13 games see Lee get a run once we have 6 more points so we are safe,
Also we should give Oxfordand Boothe get a few games behind them so we and the 2 Daves can see if there up to it.
Henry needs a run aswell,Nolan does not need to start or be on the bench nor does O,Brien because we have all seen enough and if Nolan is going to see out his contract he needs to be sent to a health farm and do some work on his general fitness,
Personally I would save the money and sign no one until summer.

  • TysonM says:

Well Bubs, when i was in the services my best mate was a Geordie boy.A season ticket holder at St.James park. When we signed Nolan he told me we were welcome to him,he would do a great job for us in the Championship but his legs had gone in his last season up there. He wouldnt be able to compete in the Prem effectively. Now here we all are 3 or 4 yrs later stuck with the same problem.

Why tysonM can’t BFS ( sorry conkerpot ) see that, none of it makes sense to any of us,Iam actually worried about SAMs sanity and if he is having mental problems should he not have medical help, maybe it’s fatigue and he needs a break with his family and spend some of those millions before the men in the White coats arrive ?

  • joe7211 says:

Sam would not now what to do with a player of suck=h skill and talent he will play O”Brian in front of him but wow if we can get him
