Hammers target Eto’o

|

Eto'oWest Ham are this morning being reported as having launched a bid for Samuel Eto’o.

The Sun claims the club has made contact with his agent Claudio Vigorelli as they search desperately for Andy Carroll cover.

The report says that Eto’o is already holding talks with Queens Park Rangers and Juventus but that a ‘pal’ of the player believes the Hammers offer is interesting.

He is claimed to have said: “They have recently signed Enner Valencia and Samuel would be interesting in pairing up with him.”

And they quote a Hammers insider as saying the club has been in touch with Eto’o saying: “With Andy out for a while he would give us proven firepower.”

Eto’o to the hammers? Ten years ago maybe! Not now.

It all continues to be so disappointing! Loosing Carroll was a blow no doubt about it but his injury has given us a golden opportunity.

Last season we paid the price for relying on one player and suffered for pining after him whilst he was out.

This year we have the ideal chance to bring in a proven goal scorer to replace Carroll as a like for like replacement. That way we would have three decent strikers to score the goal with Carroll to come back as competition and fight for his place.

The difference between a big money signing and another stop gap loan could be the difference go our season. COYI!
