Hammers target opts for Baggies

|

One-time Irons target Joleyon Lescott has sealed a move back to the midlands with West Bromwich Albion.

He has joined as a free signing after being a speculative target for the Hammers throughout the winter.

The 31-year-old was also linked with Spurs and Hull has opted for a move to the deadliest possible rivals of the club where he started his career – Wolves

The Baggies said in a statement that Lescott’s deal has the option of a further year and he becomes the first signing of new head coach Alan Irvine  who worked closely with the player at Everton.
