Hammers target set for £55m move

West Ham target Raphinha is set to join Barcelona, Leeds have confirmed.

He will move in a deal worth up to £55m, according to The Athletic.

The Brazil international was a target for the Hammers in January and was the subject of a bid worth £50m.

Leeds knocked that back but he is now poised to move to the Spanish giants, with Barcelona beating the Hammers, Chelsea, Spurs and Arsenal to his signature.

The report claims that Barca will pay a fee of £50m for Raphinha, with an extra £5m made up in bonuses.

He is set to undergo his medical in Spain and will complete the formalities of his move before being unveiled at Camp Nou.

Chelsea had appeared to reach a deal to sign Raphinha but he has instead chosen to move to La Liga.

He was a standout performer for Leeds since arriving in 2020, making 67 appearances for the club and scoring 17 goals while laying on 12 assists.

  1. Lol. He was no more of a target that I was for West Ham. Keep up the good work Hugh in supporting Good and Sullivan and of course the up to date reporting from those reliable rags of the Mail, Sun and Star. We can’t be without you
