Hammers target set for giant move – report

Darwin Nunez could be set to move to Liverpool for a gigantic fee of £85m this summer, according to a new report.

The Daily Mail claims that the Reds are ready to smash their transfer record to secure the signature of the Benfica striker, who was the subject of an offer from the Hammers in the January transfer window.

The Irons were keen to bring the young striker in and tried to get a deal done towards the end of the winter window but that offer never got off the ground.

The Uruguay international is now said to have set his sights on a potential move to a Champions League club, with Atletico Madrid and Manchester United also chasing his signature.

Liverpool are set to lose Sadio Mane this summer and are subsequently targeting a huge swoop for Nunez, who is set to cost £85m in this window.

Nunez scored 34 goals this season. The one that got away.
