Youssouf Fofana is one of a number of players the Hammers are chasing.
Previous West Ham transfer target Denis Zakaria is now speaking to Monaco over a move to the French club per Six Foot Two – West Ham Magazine Site (6foot2.co.uk)
Earlier this week Claret and Hugh dismissed reports that he was still a West Ham target although he has been scouted and targeted at one time. However news that he had later reached agreement with Juventus appears to be untrue
Gianluca di Marzio has reported that Zakaria is now speaking to the Ligue 1 about a potential move.
If it goes through, Zakaria would reunite with Adi Hutter, who he worked with during their time together at Borussia Monchengladbach. One thing is for sure this kills any lingering suggestion that he could be of interest to us.
In turn that move could free up Monaco defensive midfielder Youssouf Fofana who West Ham are actively now pursuing.
Fofana looks a far better bet and was outstanding in the match at Arsenal the other evening when may saw him as man of the match.
West Ham are keen and making their inquiries despite Monaco having bids on the table from elsewhere.
It’s been reported in other media that Zacharia is already on his way and will be our first signing.
Once again we chase players that have flopped at various clubs or over the hill.Tim S was brought in to change all that but DM does not approve, result is no signings, crap footy and possible favorites for relegation. This is down to Sullivan.
What has gone so badly wrong with our club, this close season, every headline is West Ham refuse to pay! But Moyes is intent on wasting good money, on Maguire, who it was clear last season he was finished! The way we are going, will Moyes even make the start of the season, never mind the end, before he is GONE!
