West Ham have confirmed they will still be without defenders James Collins and Winston Reid this evening who both missed Sunday’s draw with Manchester United. Diego Poyet and Doneil Henry are also likely to miss out say the club.
Both Kevin Nolan and Andy Carroll face late fitness tests at St Mary’s.
On Andy Carroll Allardyce said “The possibility would be Andy Carroll. He may be fit but it’ll be touch and go right up until we leave tomorrow morning”
On Nolan Sam added “Kevin Nolan has a bruised instep which is causing us some concern, at the moment we don’t know if he’ll be able to but his boots on or not. That’s obviously a blow to us and the rest who were unavailable are still out. We’re short on numbers but very high on confidence.”
The good news is James Tomkins who broke his nose should be available with Allardyce saying
“He broke his nose but it’s not serious enough to keep him out. From a challenge point of view I thought it was pretty naughty, he had a look to see where the defender was and then took him out basically. The assistant referee gave a foul but he didn’t think it was more serious. Tomkins should be fit to play tomorrow night which is the most important thing for us.”
Here we are again with Carroll and Nolan! I give up, I await only the moment that BFS is gone forever, hopefully soon…
