Hammers to pack out Fulham neutral zone

West Ham received an allocation of just 2,691 for today’s game at Craven Cottage, the game quickly sold out to season ticket holders with 24 points or more priority points.

The current capacity of the West London Stadium is just 25,700 but the average home attendance was around 20,000 last season in the Championship. The last home game against Leicester City in the Premier League saw an official attendance of 22,881.

Many thousands of extra West Ham supporters are expected in Fulham’s  neutral area which they officially call the mixed area

On their website Fulham say “The Putney End incorporates both the official visiting supporters seating and also our Mixed area, which is available for fans of any team to use. The official visiting supporters allocation of tickets is always sold directly through the visiting team. Ticket sales in the Mixed Area are handled directly by Fulham FC and for higher profile games restrictions may sometimes apply. There are shared facilities along the length of the Putney End concourse and visiting fans can also take advantage of the larger space on the riverside terrace, which has a number of catering units, TV screens and betting facilities. “
