The Daily Mail claims that Manchester United have negotiated a £500,000 bonus linked to West Ham qualifying for Europe as part of the 28-year-old’s £3m loan deal. The deal until the end of the season could cost West Ham up to £3.5 million after they agreed to pay Lingard’s £70,000 weekly wages and a £1.3m loan fee plus a potential bonus.
The Hammers are currently in fifth place in the Premier League but if they qualify for the Europa League or Champions Lague they will pay put the cash to the Manchester club.
Lingard was not registered in time to be included in the matchday squad for the Liverpool game but we’ll be eligible for the away game at Villa Park.
David Moyes has said he will not rush Lingard into the starting team and says he will need to complete in training to get his chance in a very good squad.
The manager says he can play anywhere across the forward positions indicating he could stand in for Michail Antonio if needed.
Let’s face reality, all we do is trawl around the lower leagues begging for half decent (not proven) players…some can step up but most struggle in the pl….we would bite anyone’s hands off to get anywhere near the top of the premier or a cup final..
We just seem like beggars …I feel sorry for Moysey…he’s a decent fella… but isn’t getting the backing that’s needed…thh with the squad we have he deserves a medal that’s for sure …when the fans get back inside the stadium it’s going to be a cauldron for the owners …why is it we are always left disappointed time and again…we’re just fortunate that everyone else is playing sh.. ite…and the guys that have been purchased have played out of their skins ….we need investment badly….or kiss goodbye to Dec…why oh why would he want to stay at a club that clearly has no ambition except to scrape by EVERY season…..such a shame…we all know West ham owners have a golden goose, whether we get relegated or not the crowds will always be there!!! The only consolation is we ain’t getting relegated this year ….Long sigh !!! Oh to be a hammers fan !!!
I think we will be okay on that one lol. We won’t qualify for Europe. I see king bid accepted, good enough for Man utd, who had 20m bid turned down, and now good enough for Everton / Fulham if he accepts. But not good enough for us. Why?
Yes mark ..totally agree ,,it takes us a couple hours to ship players out ..they got some more assets away today.and wages of the books .nice bit of money for haller too ..wich apparently is being re invested🤣..king would of been ideal for us ….reading about lots of angry fans due to the window business…I’m in shock we didn’t sign a striker… it’s a shame after a great season so far …could snowball down hill now ,,,let’s hope not ..
It is a massive mistake that we have not brought in another striker, making do will come back to haunt us
