Hammers to wait on Soucek talks

Exclusive by Hughie Southon

West Ham are planning no contract talks with either Tomas Soucek or Jarrod Bowen until the end of the transfer window.

In the case of the Czech midfielder that may be significant given the doubts over his future as reported here last week.

Whilst there is no urgency for talks on either player we have learned that the Czech midfielder and manager David Moyes are believed to have issues between them which could lead to the player’s departure anyway.

And we understand too that several clubs are showing an interest in the 27 year old following the manager’s alleged refusal to offer him any sort of improvement on his current deal at the first round of talks several weeks ago,

It could well be be that the manager is waiting to see what happens in the summer window as far as bids are concerned  before again becoming involved in any new discussions with the player and his representative.

A Hammers source – discussing the situation having made it clear to us earlier that Bowen won’t be going anywhere – added: “We’ll look at at these at the end of the transfer window.”
