Hammers track top Dutch prospect

West Ham are this morning reported to be tracking PSV Eindhoven wideman  Steven Bergwijn.

The youngster – 20 today – is also being watched carefully by Spurs and Bournemouth after becoming a regular in the PSV first team since last season.

He has represented his country at every level, apart from the full national team, after starting his career at Ajax and is set to become a target across Europe.

The Irons have been carefully monitoring the youngster and have had him watched on several occasions.

The pacy, two-footed wide-man can play on both flanks and is viewed as one of Holland’s brightest young prospects among most good judges.

He is currently rated a £4 million player and the Irons could make an offer either in the winter or next summer.

  1. Any guy who has made the cut at both PSV and Ajax, must be seriously good!
His ability to play with both feet is a huge asset..
Buy him asap, while sending AC back to Newcastle

    • Playing at PSV and Ajax means nothing when it comes to the Premiership. Look at some of the players signed from the Dutch league in recent years and how badly they’ve performed. Of course there’s some seriously good players, but it’s not a league to be trusted at all.

  2. AC needs to be on the bench & lets see how Sakho & little pea can play together. We are wasting the talent of potentially the best goal scorer we have had since Ashton.
