Hammers transfer window – all players rumour rated

With events apparently speeding up in the Hammers summer window here’s our weekly look at the state of play on the current transfer activity.

Jack Wilshere has passed a medical and is expected to sign later today and hopefully on his way to Switzerland by this evening.

South American central defender and Paraguay international Fabien Balbeuna looks set to join subject to work permit approval.

Andriy Yarmelenko – the Dortmund winger is another in work permit area  and is said to be in London but although there is no word from inside the club this one looks to be ongoing and very possible for completion.

Jean Michael Seri is reported to have landed in London. CandH has learned one bid on the active transfer list as an alternative to Anderson.

Bruno Fernandes is on the hopeful list with the chances claimed to be “fifty/fifty”

Felipe Anderson’s proposed switch could still have a late twist with reports that he could be a £40m record signing for the Hammers.

  1. Great coverage of all things happening-thank you for this!!
Latest news from a friend who is a Lazio fan, is that West ham and Lazio have finally settled on a deal valued around 40 million Euros.
Some speculation about us being interested in the huge Nzonzi, but for me, he seems a little down on pace and acceleration, which could be telling in the EPL. In addition, for such a big man, he doesn’t have any record of scoring goals from corners or set-pieces.

  2. I’d be more inclined to believe the 40k record bid was for Anderson than seri. As you say. Never say never.

  3. Plus seri is a midget who can’t tackle for toffee. Great passer and creator but we have Wilshere for that now. I suggest we need a big man defensive midfielder now and we’re done. Unless he is thinking of rice and Oxford for defensive midfield roles.
