Hammers trio celebrate safely

Hammers Delcan Rice, Tomas Soucek and Vladimir Coufal celebrated after the England v Czech Republic game as both national teams progressed to the final sixteen.

England won the group with 7 points while the Czech Republic finished ‘a best third place’ with four points after Croatia finished second.

The Hammers were photographed on the pitch hugging each other and also posing with the Hammers crossed arms.

Gareth Southgate’s men had to play without Chelsea duo Ben Chilwell and Mason Mount after they came into close contact with Scotland midfielder Billy Gilmour, who tested positive for coronavirus on Monday.

Chilwell and Mount talked to Gilmour for around 20 minutes following England’s goalless draw with Scotland last week.

The Hammers trio weren’t making the same mistake and later donned masks after the photos to allow them to speak and kept their post-match chat under 15 minutes to avoid a similar fate to Rice’s best mate Mason Mount.
