Hammers turn to Tah from Maguire

West Ham have confirmed they are pulling the plug on the Harry Maguire deal.

But they add with great confidence that they will have a younger central defender in place – thought to be Bayern Leverkusen’s Jonaton Tah – within the next 71 hours and should that be the case it is set to go down as Tim Stiedten’s .

We reported earlier today that a pay off dispute had developed between Maguire and Manchester United given that he would have been forced to agree to a massive wage cut.

Maguire has never seemed particularly keen to join the Hammers and the pay off would have involved the Hammers paying part of it which they have now pulled away from.

Our key source at the London Stadium was entirely straightforward about things declaring: “Yes, we have been a dispute  with Manchester United over a pay off, but we’ll have a younger alternative signed in 71 hours.”

We have dodged the bullet due to Maguires appalling ego and attitude, so I only hope Moyes doesn’t get stubborn about trying to force the dead deal. You’ve got out of jail Moyes, now sign a younger, quicker player with prospects, please!!!

So he can stay in Manchester and get £200,000 a week for doing nothing for the next two years. Alright for some!

Good never really sold on Maguire , Tah looks decent what little I have seen of him ! Looks strong and can’t be as slow as Maguire , COYI ⚒

Excellent news if true. We should be going for younger players who if we sell, make a profit to improve the club.

The title of this just changed, Tah isn’t that young, although younger than Maguire

That’s exciting news, wonder if it’s Per Shurrs ? Whomever it is hope they are press resistant, pacey, read the game well and a great defender, someone that we can get behind COYI !!!
