Hammers unhappy as Czechs include Coufal

By Hughie Southon

West Ham’s fears that Vlad Coufal would be included in the Czech Republic team who tonight areĀ  playing against Poland were confirmed.

The Hammers right back was selected from the startbeing substituted in the 71st minute with the Czechs coming out winning the game 3-1.

Despite reported lengthy negotiations with the Hammers it turns out that the Czech national team bosses decided to go ahead and include the 30 year old along of course with Tomas Soucek.

The Hammers – as reported here exclusively – were unhappy that the player was chosen and allowed to travel for the European Nations qualifying fixtures in which the Czechs are involved,

His heel injury has kept him out of the Hammers side since the end of February when the team beat Nottingham Forest 4-0.

And as is always the case we will have everything crossed that he and other Hammers return fit to resume our own desperate relegation battle next weekend.
