James Collins will not face an internal inquiry over his dismissal from the Watford match on Saturday but has left club insiders very unhappy.
Collins charged into the back of Hornets striker Ighalo in reckless fashion and was immediately red-carded in the second half.
Given the state of the game with the Irons at 2-0 down it was the final nail in the team’s coffin and it has not gone down well.
A key insider told ClaretandHugh: “It’s not the first time this year – we had a not entirely different situation in Europe when he was sent off for two yellow cards against Astra Giurgiu.
“It wasn’t just frustration against Watford. The fact is he lost his rag, as he is prone to. He’s worked hard to make his presence felt and played well when it arrived he took his chance but that was a bad challenge.
“He won’t find any kind of disciplinary action from the club but he’s let himself down and he has now moved down the line again. It was not good and very counter-productive after all his hard work.”
I think it was arteta, or does he play for arsenal ???
Its the little guy anyway in midfield who swivelled in front of Burke and lashed it home.
I think the noble issue is there for everyone to see, yes he’s is a hammer bred player but he is not going to keep song out of the team !!! Noble is not the same player he was 3 – 4 years ago ? He’s has lost pace and visual awareness on the park ! He is a good player but not a very good player, if he was, then he wouldn’t be getting bad press from us !!!
He is in my opinion a impact player you could call on going into the OS nothing more !!
As for Burke , well he cost us the game against Everton last term IMO, he showed weakness and bad awareness for their goal, he should have challenged arteta with all his mite but just basically did nothing !!! I’ve watched this guy quite a few times and although I agree he is one for the future he is not ready for this league just yet , he needs time to toughen up and
Gain experience where he is now, henry is in front of this boy anyway , when a full squad is fit to choose from the boy wouldn’t get picked let alone play, he is for later,
Like I’ve said before, I’d like see Ginge walk out at the new stadium and I think Noble deserves to lead out the club there giving he is one of our own man and boy. Ok not as regular players but you can’t take the dream away from Noble, it wouldn’t be right
He makes at least one stupid decisions every game and some times they cost some times they don’t, the game was lost this time when he went,
But he is not as good as Ogbonna and we need to give Burke and Oxford their chance and Ginge is the obvious one to go at his age,
These are not hard decisions to make unlike when he left last time,
Burke proved himself last term and has been doing the business on loan,
Sorry Ginge but time to fly the nest for the last time,
Noble will be next if we are going to grow as a team
Well said, Johnboy, Collins got sent off with just a few minutes left. Ginge is my 3rd choice below Reid + Tomkins. I reckone he’s significantly better than Obgonna. I am REALLY not happy with the Carroll and Ginge bashing. Ginge always outs in a shift. The mention of his prev sending off is ridiculous; the Europeans sucker punched us on red cards…STOP BASHING OUR GOOD PLAYERS. Never wanted him to be sold to Villa and was thrilled to see him come back, as was he! Ginge has been one of our best, most consistent and loyal players for 10 the last years. He certainly CAN still cut it.
I wonder if this is why there is talk of Burke coming back in Jan ?????
I also wonder if ginge finally accepted he can’t cope with the pace of the prem and made a decision on behalf of the club and put himself up for the chop ????
Just a strange thing to do , he ain’t a dirty player , never was !!?
Chin up ginge , loved what you’ve done for this club !!! Respect mate !!!!
