Hammers ‘vow of silence’ holding up…at the moment!

Manager David Moyes and chief recruitment officer Rob Newman are showing how entirely they are in control of this winter’s transfer window at West Ham.

Their fingerprints and only theirs are all over it!

There have been fewer leaks from the club than at any time in recent history as the pair get on with looking at options in the required areas of central defence and left back along with hopes that a central striker can be found.

Only James Tarkowski’s  name is one that we have heard with any sort of regularity although even that may have to wait until summer based on a David Moyes comment that only one player is on his mind adding that his club may bot be ready to let him go this winter.

At a club where there have always been various ‘sources’ have always made their ‘news’ available to favoured favoured media contacts, the Moyes/Newman alliance seems to be keeping things very much under wraps…at the moment anyway

We understand that senior people have all signed up to the ‘vow of silence’ on which Moyes has been insisting but whether that lasts or not as signings get closer remains to be seen!
