Hammers want three teams beaten tonight

The Hammers will want three teams beaten tonight.

Thankfully, we are back to the Premier League business  with Arsenal involved at Forest, Brighton at Luton and Villa at home to Newcastle.

The Hammers kick off again on Thursday evening evening of course against Bournemouth in a season which seems to have been regularly interrupted by breaks despite managers complaining over overcrowded calendars.

Just to remind ourselves the Irons currently sit in sixth place with Brighton in seventh having played 21 games for 32 points with a plus five goal difference whilst we are on 35 points with a plus 3 difference.

Regardless of my Hammers loyalties, I believe they could get beaten by a developing Luton team of who I am rather fond as a reminder of that the game was once about in stadiums like Kenilworth Road.

Arsenal, meanwhile, visit the City Ground seeking a double over the east midlanders who were narrowly beaten at the Emirates 2-1 in the opening game of the season. The Gooners currently sit in third place from 21 games so a defeat would be nice although personally I fancy a draw.

Finally Villa welcome Newcastle with an amazing record of still being unbeaten at home under Unai Emery, who incidentally was interviewed for the hammers job at the time Slaven got the gig.

You have to take Villa to win this one. They are currently in fourth place in 43 ponts with a goal difference of plus 16.

So that’s Luton to win, a draw at the City Ground and a Villa win in a tasty little treble for me tonight.
