West Ham want to sign Sofyan Amrabat from Fiorentina in January after his superb displays at the World Cup, according to a new report.
The Daily Mail‘s print edition reports that the Morocco international is wanted by a clutch of clubs.
Amrabat has been sensational for his country at the World Cup, as they amazingly reached the semi-finals, beating Spain and Portugal en route.
Morocco eventually lost to France but there is said to be interest from a variety of clubs, including the Hammers, as well as Chelsea, Liverpool, Newcastle, and Atletico Madrid.
Spurs tried to sign Amrabat in the summer but were unable to reach an agreement with the Serie A club.
They are said to remain interested, but it isn’t clear exactly how much the midfielder will cost as the transfer window inches ever closer.
The Irons do have a lack of depth in midfield, so a deal for Amrabat could well make sense, if one can be struck.
