Jonathon Calleri has been released from the Irons and will now return to Argentina after his year’s loan at the London Stadium.
Callieri, along with Gokhan Tore and Alvero Arbeola, have all been removed from the Irons wage bill following the season’s end.
The striker received a run of games towards the end of the campaig in the absence of Andy Carroll and Diafra Sakho as Slaven Bilic attempted to make a decision on whether to make his stay permanent.
But the 23 year old failed to sparkle and the decision not to renew was agreed at yesterday’s end of season review meeting held at David Sullivan’s Essex home.
Arbeola was a deadline day signing during last summer’s transfer window and Tore returned to Turkey after a poor start followed by injury.
The Hammers will make a decision on Havard Nortveidt’s future at the club over the next few weeks depending on any offers they may receive.
He says he is retiring but i bet he is back managing within the year…he will say he feels refreshed and missed football and bang he will be back like a bad smell.
Thats my prediction anyway.
Hippo Head The Bounty Hunter, his ‘Stay Up’ cheque has cleared & now he’s off to ride the plains looking for his next wedge of keep us in the PL dough Stan 😂
Following the wedge and China bound?
Yeah could be Condor.I thought the way he was talking the other day he was all set for recruiting players for Palace.Strange gig.
Maybe he is in the shyte again with the authorities & he is doing a runner before it all kicks off 😁😁
Blimey i just read bfs is quitting Crystal Palace. Please dont send him in our direction.I know it has been a disappointing season but there are limits lol
I think Calleri will go to another league and be a success. It didn’t work out for him over here but good luck to the kid in the future. You win some you lose some.I feel no ill will towards him.
Well he was given more than a fair chance to show what he could do, but fell short of PL requirements. On the other hand Ashley Fletcher was only given crumbs, but his qualities have shone through.
For the short time he was on the pitch at Burnley he showed more invention and skill than Snodgrass and definitely more strength than Calleri ever did.
I hope that Bilic gives him more time next season and at least as much patience as Calleri received and I believe he will justify that chance.
Good luck to him, looks like he works hard it didn’t work out for us but footballs sometimes like that.
