Hammers: “We have never had a single bid for Declan”

|

West Ham have still not received a single offer for Declan Rice.

Our story earlier from Leroy Rosenior in which the former Hammers striker claimed he could become the nation’s first £150 million player brought an immediate response from the club.

And they made it clear that their value of the player is so high that there has never been a single bid from anywhere  for the club’s prize asset.

Effectively, such is the amazing match to match form of the 22 year old that he could well be pricing himself out of the current market.

Chelsea, Manchester United and United have all been regularly linked with the defensive midfielder but according to the Hammers they are all aware of the price the club have on Declan and that as a result they have not made an inquiry never mind an offer.

With his current contract running out in 2024 and with the club holding a year’s option on it their is no anxiety within the club that bids of the value they have on him – around £120m – will be appearing.

A key source told us: “The reality is that we have never had a bid for him as clubs know we value him incredibly highly.”
