Hammers will entertain offers for midfielder

West Ham will be looking to grab a small fee for 33 year old defensive midfield flop Carlos Sanchez in the January window.

But they are likely to get no more than£500k for the Colombian who,  after a major injury last season, has made just three brief Premier League appearances this term.

He is valued at £1.3 m by www.transfermarkt.com but that looks over-priced on what he has achieved at the club this season and before his injury last term.

No manager refuses a late deal in the market but the decision to sign the former Aston Villa player was surely a mistake which has cost the club £50k a week in personal terms over the two years of his deal.

He, Jack Wilshere, Pablo Fornals, Roberto, Samir Nasri and Albien Ajaeti are all signings who and did have question marks over them whilst keeper David Martin has yet to be used.

And we were told by a source last night: “Obviously we would be ready to listen to offers for Carlos given he is coming to the end of his deal.”
