WITH the January window now just weeks away, every striker worth his salt is being linked with the usual Premier League suspects: West Ham, Wolves, Leeds, Everton..seemingly the merry go round of goal scorers is turning again with the same names apparently ‘eyed up’ by Premier League suitors.
So it was inevitable that Yuri Alberto would be linked again with a move to the Premier League: The Brazilian ex-golden boot winner is still, at 24, on an upward trajectory and few can doubt his appeal.
West Ham apparently bid for him in 2023 and David Sullivan had a £13 m bid rejected by his Corinthians’ bosses who share 50% of his ownership with Zenit St Petersburg.

Groundhog Day? Another window, another rumour linking West Ham with Yuri Alberto
According to teamtalk.com, Alberto, healed from his broken vertebrae of the summer and recent ankle problems, is back on the shopping lists of several Premier League competitors with a whopping new 2025 price:
“The Brazilian forward, known for his lethal finishing and relentless work rate, has become the talk of European scouting networks. With his contract running until 2030, clubs across the Premier League are circling, sensing an opportunity to snag a proven goal machine at a price tag hovering around £40 million.
Leading the charge are Everton and West Ham United, both of whom have made preliminary inquiries to Alberto’s camp….
West Ham’s recruitment team have been in Brazil hashing out details, with personal terms already floated”
Well David Sullivan might rue not increasing on his 2023 bid at the time: If he wants to bring the prolific striker to West Ham in 2025, it’ll likely cost him three times that failed 2023 offer.
Needs emphasising though that there is no guarantee that Alberto will be sold – Corinthians have been adamant in past windows that they wanted to hang on to their record goal scorer even as the players’ agent had been reported as ‘agreeing personal terms in London’.
“…it’ll likely cost him three times that failed 2023 offer.,,,,” Yet his market value is estimated to be £20-25mil. on sites that focus on transfer values. Maybe this is some ‘paper talk’?
