Hammers would love this midfield star to stay

|

SongWest Ham are keenly watching Alex Song’s progress from injury and remain keen to offer the on loan Barcelona midfielder a new two tear deal.

Song – sidelined with an eye infection against Villa – has yet to return to full match fitness but is looking stronger and more creative match by match.

The Hammers showed their enthusiasm to make him a permanent part of the club scene when offering him a loan deal despite him having struggled towards the end of last season and before he was properly recovered from injury.

Now they are keen to see the player return to his very best form in order to offer him a to year deal as the club heads for the Olympic Stadium.

Co chairman David Gold told ClaretandHugh: “We know that Alex is absolutely top quality and we believe that class will always out.

“Obviously we want him at the club and the signs are that he is getting there. He knows the situation – he loves the club and we would love to see him here permanently.”

Looking better every game with his ball winning but still giving the ball away to easy,
With Obiang looking to come in Poyet to come back and Oxford able to play that role not sure he will be a good bargain on his wages,
But if the 2 Daves can afford him then let’s have him
