Happy Gold ready for Chelsea

EXCLUSIVE

David Gold has admitted he is enjoying his football for the first time in several years.

And – speaking exclusively to ClaretandHugh he said: “I’m going to be bitterly disappointed if we don’t come away from the Chelsea game with a result.”

And he added: “It is so good to feel that you can beat anybody which is how everyone is feeling at this moment. We have pace in the team and a manager who has shown himself ready to throw on attackers to win the game as was the case at Palace last week.

“Chelsea are having a thin time by their standards but no one here is writing them off but it will be bitterly disappointing if we don’t get a result.

“We have had years recently which at times have been incredibly tense and worrying but this season is so enjoyable. The football is great and the resultsĀ have been terrific.

“Tomorrow’s match against Chelsea will tell us a lot about where we are and to be looking at the possibility of having taken 20 points before the end of October is amazing.”
