Harry: ‘Bilic is a great signing for West Ham’

harryFormer Hammers Harry Redknapp has tipped Slaven Bilic to bring back  back one or two of the old West Ham players to work with him on the coaching side.

Speaking an hour before the appointment was made, he said:  “Slaven looks like he’s going to be the new boss there.

“He knows the club well and I think he’ll bring back one or two of the old players to work with him on the coaching side.

“So it’s an opportunity for one or two lads he played with to do some specialist coaching and work with him in his backroom team. So all in all I think it’s a good signing.”

Harry Redknapp signed Bilic for  West Ham for a fee of £1.3m in January 1996.
