Harry Redknapp’s Conference Final verdict

|

Harry Redknapp is entirely convinced West Ham will be bringing the Europa Conference Trophy back to the east end tomorrow evening.

The former Hammers boss remembers our last major triumph against 1860 Munich very well back in 1965 and believes Declan Rice will follow in Bobby Moore’s footsteps as a winning Hammers skipper.

Speaking exclusively to Claret and Hugh Harry said: “Make no mistake amount it this is a very good West Ham team despite their league season. I’m a particular fan of Jarrod Bowen who I consider a really good hard working footballer.

“And with big Mikey Antonio up front causing problems I can’t see anything but a Hammers win. Fiorentina are ok but they are  than an average team in an average league and I really can’t see them causing us too many issues.

“We have prepared well for this one and like Joe Cole I think this could be exactly Paqueta’s type of game. He is a top player and I see him being right on the case.

“We have everybody fit and the manager seems to have prepared the lads well. I see nothing but a Hammers win.”

Love our Harry, it would be fitting to have Rice lift the cup, I also feel sorry for Nobes as having retired and just missing out and he deserves full credit for his career
