CandH Exclusive by Hughie Southon
West Ham are looking a top six side to former boss Harry Redknapp who in an exclusive interview with Claret and Hugh revealed his thoughts on the squad and the starts they have made to the new season.
He has always been a huge admirer of James Ward-Prowse declaring: “He’s good at everything he does and beyond that is a terrific lad. In my opinion he and James Maddison have been the signings of the summer window.”
However, he is out of sync with those who believe the 28 year old Ward Prowse should be in the England team saying: “That’s a tough argument to uphold when you see the likes of Jude Bellingham, Declan Rice, Jack Grealish and all the others that are available.
“Having said that he is a very good player indeed and a real bargain if the price was around £30 million.”
Harry had always believed David Moyes would sort things out last season and hard though it will be to retain a place in the top six believes the Hammers might just make it,
They have started really well but who really knows, It’s a very tough call but – look – they have had a good window, Jarrod Bowen is magnificent and they are looking a team that can score goals so yes, they have real chances.”
