Hat trick hero Hammer

Tomas Soucek netted a brilliant hat-trick as the Czech Republic thumped Estonia 6-1 in a World Cup qualifier on Wednesday evening.

The Hammers star played the 90 minutes in central midfield as his country absolutely dominated Estonia throughout.

They did fall 1-0 behind but Patrik Schick, the Bayer Leverkusen forward, and Hellas Verona’s Antonin Barak gave the Czechs the lead.

Soucek scored the next three!

He was on the scoresheet in the 32nd minute, the 43rd minute, and the 48th minute as they began to run away with it.

Jakub Jankto, the Sampdoria midfielder, added a sixth just before the hour mark. Estonia did pull a goal back on 86 minutes and the game ended 6-2.

It was a remarkable performance from Soucek and his countrymen, as they began qualifying in the best possible way.

Vlad Coufal watched on from the bench, as Pavel Kaderabek, who plays for Bundesliga side Hoffenheim, started the game at right back.

The Czech Republic are in a tough qualifying group and will also have to play Belgium, Belarus, and Wales as they look to make the tournament in Qatar in 2022.
