Fan view…Hats off to DM

|
Having seen our fixtures over Christmas I had genuine concerns. If you had said we would take 10 out of 12 points like any other supporter I would have snatched your hand off. So credit where credit is due so let’s take our hats off  to DM and the team WRITES CLARET AND HUGH FACEBOOK FOLLOWER ANNA SSASIN.
Brighton was a game we could have lost but didn’t I believe more by luck than anything else (we also hit the post after a terrific save).

2024 for us as West Ham faithful will be a roller coaster as per usual, can I take 32% of possession with 6 shots on goal against the opposing side 22 shots? No – but has it been anything else prior to this?
With better sides to come and our better players injured or representing their country the ride may be a little bumpier than usual. Will we get relegated? No, but that is only because there are worse teams in the league than us. I believe we will finish in mid table .

Are we trophy winners this season? No I don’t believe we are.

Strength in depth is something we have struggled with and unless we can sell in January we may not be buying either as the way the FFP system is being enforced has everyone frightened.
There’s little point discussing if the manager is staying or going, my thoughts are that we should wait until the end of the season.  DM and the board have made a great job of papering over the cracks and I think the cracks will reappear before the end if no new blood is brought in.
The positive of the Brighton game is in the substitutes listed for us included many of our junior players getting game experience which I for one welcome.
Moyesball is here to stay yes massively frustrating and occasionally doesn’t work but he’s painted himself in to a corner and may well see him rewarded with another 2 years or allowed to leave at the end of the season,
To sack him would be expensive and the couple of million to sack him could be better spent on bringing someone else in! Who? I have no idea but I’m sure Steidten has a list!!
So my rant over, buckle up, enjoy the ride, it’s going to be a bumpy one.
Let’s continue to maturely discuss our thoughts and opinions on this fantastic forum without falling out with each other. Happy New Year all.

No Hats off from me! Last night, the second half was a Real Bore! Every time we had the ball, we just gave it back to Brighton! Yes we were missing players, but it affects all clubs.
