He won’t be going for a Song!

|

alex-song-west-ham (1)Alex Song needs to become a free signing if he is to join West Ham on a permanent basis.

And ClaretandHugh has learned that currently Barcelona are looking for around £5 million for the player who is reported “seriously enthusiastic” to rejoin the Irons this season.

Barca – it appears – have had a change of heart in allowing the midfielder to leave the Nou Camp for nothing and unless he or the Hammers can change that position he won’t be leaving.

A source inside the club told us: “Initially it was about Alex’s personal terms but the position appears to have  changed and a fee is now required. A figure of £5 million has been mentioned.

“Despite talk of interest from Chelsea, we are unaware of any other club having approached Barca but his wages are high and we need to get him here on a free.

“It’s true that he would prefer a five year deal with us although three is more likely – we don’t see that as a deal breaker.”

Pay them £5 million give him 5 years but ask him to drop £10 k per week,
Everyone is happy we get a good player
Or 2 days before the dead line we sign some 33 year old freebie who never plays

Bloody hell,if they are going to get twitchy about paying 5m for Song we might as well all throw in the towel & apply for the Conference North or South.Time to stop being tarts & back up your big words with action. All this sh*t they come out with about wanting to have the big boys looking over their shoulders at us & wanting to be challenging for champions league places in 5 or 7 years & they sh*t themselves if a target is more than a couple of million.Just a pair of market traders who think they can shop at harrods but have no dough.

We could always do and exchange with Jarvis plus 2mill or so of course. Seems fair.

Another spanner in the works, why not just pay the £5m **** me we paid £4.5 for Maiga, £10+ for Jarvis, £15+ for the walking accident and emergency department. £5 is good for a player of Song’s experience and the bloke genuinely wants to play for us?! It’s a no brainier – everyone keeps saying move on to the next, there is no next at that price. Obiang cost us near that and he’s done **** all career wise realistically

I think Bilic knows what players he wants to bring in & not what G & S want. other clubs like Swansea Stoke Spurs etc sign players by keeping things quiet id rather Sullivan snr & jnr keep quiet on what there doing until player or players are holding the shirt aloft

If it’s another ransom situation move on to the next target, although I never fully understood why they were just giving him away in the first place.
